The hotel's location was fantastic, just a short stroll from the old town. I appreciated the spacious room and wonderful breakfast, but the noise from nearby events made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Still, the friendly service made it a pleasant stay overall.

Staff were courteous, location is excellent for the old town and cathedral complex. Room was clean, in good condition, and very quiet.
Even the internet rate is expensive for what was a rather small room.

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the fine views from our room and the delicious breakfast every morning. The spa was a real treat with its soothing sauna and relaxing massage options available.

The hotel is nice, clean and shiney... although I have stayed at B&B's that have better facilities.
I did not like the attitude of the staff. I did not wear a business suit when I arrived, although I did pay the 490CHF ($520 AUD) as everyone else had, and I believe I should be treated equally as such. For this price wifi could be included, but if you wish you can sit in reception infront of everyone and use a computer which is blocked to most common sites. Also breakfast or at least cheap instant tea and coffee could be available in the room. I also wanted to amend the reservation and the staff were very unhelpful... it seemed that they wanted to lock you in to what you booked on impulse on the internet (and this was not the only swiss hotel which did this to me).

This hotel was comfortable and very clean, had fantastic people and rooms. Only 10 min walk to downtown. There's restaurant-bar klosterhof with nice shots right next to the venue

Improved breakfast coffee selection would be appreciated.

During summer it can be stinking hot. Room design quite plain and disappointing

convenience location
evening front desk staffs are not very helpful. little or no knowledge of local activities including the time the ferry departure. When I asked for things that I needed, they usually told me to go get it myself even though there're two of them working at the front desk in a very quiet night.

The Comfort Double Room was a nice size, not the fancy ones, but honestly, it was totally fine for my stay. Beds were comfy, and everything was clean. Nothing too crazy about the decor, but I wasn't expecting that. Just make sure you're not near a connecting room. I heard some noise from the next place. Decent vibes and I felt relaxed.

Staff were very professional and friendly. Room was very large (unusual for europe). Spotlessly clean, excellent food in the Restaurant, altogether a very good stay.
No sauna.
